OUR HISTORY
The domain Michel Arcelain is located in Burgundy climate in Pommard.

In 1889, Jules Arcelain took over the family wine exploitation and modified the plot during the phylloxera crisis and replanted the famous grape varieties:
-Pinot noir
-Chardonnay
​
Then, he transmitted his expertise , knowledge and his soil to his son. At his turn, he continued to pass on to his children.The plot has evolved over the time and generations.

Michel Arcelain and his wife Marie-Madeleine have operated the family wine exploitation for many years.
Today, the domain is operated by their grandson Pierre Arcelain and his wife Charlotte.

WINES
We produce approximately 20 000 bottles per year.
The vineyard is planted in fine Pinot noir and Chardonnay.
We have different wine appellations : Pommard 1er cru "Charmots", Beaune 1er cru "Clos des Mouches", Pommard villages, Beaune villages, Bourgogne Côte d'Or Pinot Noir and Bourgogne Côte d'Or Chardonnay.

THE PHILOSOPHY
The domain is committed to a reasoned culture from vines to wines.
To preserve as much as possible our soil and the authenticity of our wines, we pay attention to the tillage which is carried out by plowing all the year.
In order to have an optimal quality of our raw material, we harvest manually our grapes and select the best grapes.
Our philosophy is also to use traditional and modern methods to produce a wine as natural as possible.
